Oaia aia e a ei; eu i-o iau.

When we came to Moldova we were surprised that many Romanian words had no consonants in them. For example their word for "egg" is "oua". And sheep is "oaie". They can even go full sentences without a single consonant. For example "That sheep is hers; I am taking it from her" will be "Oaia aia e a ei; eu i-o iau." Not a single consonant in the whole sentence.

It looked funny to us but I can imagine it looked even funnier to one of our Armenian volunteers whose surname was Mkrtchan.
